Lee Pierce - President

Lee Pierce has been involved in Construction Engineered System specification development since 1979. He began his career at Armco Steel Corporation and later led geosynthetic material application and specification development at Propex Operating Company for over 26 years. Most notably, he pioneered the development of the Engineered Earth Anchor System (EEAS) for surficial slope stability and levee armoring in potential overtopping conditions.

Mr. Pierce spearheaded the original levee armoring application for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) New Orleans District following Hurricane Katrina. He has collaborated extensively with Congress, Task Force Guardian, the New Orleans District Levee Armoring Team, Task Force Hope, USACE Washington, DC, USACE Jacksonville District, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, and the Louisiana Levee Board Association in the evaluation and application of the EEAS on levees, dikes, and canals.

He is a former executive board member of the Erosion Control Technical Council (ECTC) and a past member of the Louisiana Levee Board Association. Mr. Pierce spent 15 years with Armco Steel Corporation / Contech Construction Products, followed by 26 years with Propex Operating Company / Solmax AMS.

He also led the development and implementation of the Technical Specification Selling Process and CRM tracking criteria at Propex—efforts that proved critical in increasing revenue, profitability, and overall close rates for the company’s value-added product lines.

Through his proprietary SpecPower™ process, Lee brings structure, insight, and execution tools that empower your team to land earlier in the project cycle and stay positioned through award and install.
